SAIPM SOLAR LIGHT TRAP

Fully automatic, solar powered durable light trap for Integrated Pest Management.

SAIPM Solar Light Trap can be used for monitoring and mass trapping of flying pests such as Thrips, Jassids, Flies, Leaf hoppers, Plant hoppers as well as adult moths of stem borers, cutworms and caterpillars attacking various crops.

SAIPM Solar Light Trap is made up from sturdy and durable material to provide long term pest management. The trap works on solar power hence no electrical power source or wire etc. is required.

The ultraviolet LED bulbs fitted in SAIPM Solar light traps are equipped with automatic circuit. The traps switches on after sunset and works for 3-4 hours to trap harmful pests active at this time. It is equipped with long lasting dry battery and solar panel to provide you maintenance free services.

How to assemble and install

  • One SAIPM Solar Light Trap is sufficient for 1 Acer land.
  • Select center of 1 Acre field for installation.
  • Fix pipe No.1 having largest diameter in the ground. Around 1 feet pipe should be fixed firmly in the ground.
  • Assemble the remaining trap as shown in the picture carefully with the help of spanner provided with the trap.
  • Make sure to keep 1 feet distance between Battery/Light pack bolts and bolts of insects collecting container.
  • The solar panel height is adjustable depending on crop height in order to capture maximum sunlight. Adjust the height and direction of solar panel accordingly.
  • Pour water in insect collector container. For best results mix 50-100 ml Neem oil in the water.
  • Once fitted firm in the ground, switch on the trap by clicking switch on battery/light pack.
  • The LED bulbs will automatically glow in darkness.
  • Once Switched on automatically, the bulbs will glow for 3-4 hours and the trap will be switched off automatically.
  • Protect the trap from mechanical damage and stray animals.
  • Top up or change water/oil mixture as and when required. The collected insects should be buried in the soil.
